Still working on photos from our trip to Columbia in July. Took us awhile to find one but we scoured that little old cemetery and eventually located a headstone inscribed with a date before the 1800's. Many headstones indicated folks who MAY have been born before 1800 but a lot of them only included the date of demise, not birthdate. And a detail photo below.

We found some headstones that only said the date that they died as well. Good find!!

ReplyDeleteYou are really doing great. We hit some old places, full of tall weeds etc and oldest we could find was 1823. Not too sure we here in WA are old enough.
