There's Plenty of Room....

at the motel Casa Linda...

location: Monterey Road - San Jose

there are some "classic" motels along this stretch of the road, "historic El Camino Real" according to one street sign. I suppose back in the 50's these quaint little spots, with covered parking places, were probably quite nice to stop and stay at while on a road trip!

Notice the wagon wheel in the sign base, cool ... do we get bonus points?

I've stayed in a few like that, Ole Phil likes that kind.

Hunt down the items from the checklist. Take a photo of the item. At least one member of your team must be in the photo.

The start date for the hunt is July 1, 2012

The deadline is 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Savings time October 1, 2012.

Teams should be made of 2-5 people all ages.

Captions must include the names of the people appearing in each photo and the city, state and/or country where you found each item.

We will know a doctored photo when we see it.

Do not “stage” or "fabricate" photos.

Gas station adapted for different use

Town square clock
Headstone inscribed with date before 1800s

Dog on the beach
Someone from your team assisting a street performer
A real outhouse (no port-a-potties allowed)
Red barn
Sign with Mother’s, Mom’s or Ma’s on it
Cobblestone street
Oversized animal sculpture
Outdoor pay phone
Loading dock with graffiti
A camel
Town sign with population of 100 or less
Restaurant with a cooking utensil in its name
Someone or something hung out to dry
A former jail
